Welcome to our Newest 43pl Member – Critchlow Limited

I am very pleased to announce that Critchlow Limited has become a member of CRCSI's 43pl (43 Pty Ltd). Critchlow joins our other New Zealand members, LINZ, e-Spatial, General Dynamics Corporation and Landzone.

Jos Kunnen, Chief Executive of Critchlow says "We're excited about joining 43pl. This forum has huge potential to accelerate innovation in New Zealand, which is why we joined.  CRCSI offers some great opportunities for the New Zealand spatial industry to collaborate with government and academia on spatial projects, and we're to glad to be involved."

If you're not familiar with it, 43pl is a company which was established as an innovative way for small to medium-sized businesses to participate in CRCSI programmes. I've listed some of the key benefits for joining:

  • Invaluable networking opportunities
    • Build closer relationships with government, fellow 43pl members, and academia.
    • Strengthen your organisation's status and reputation by taking part in research, innovation and education projects.
    • Network with over 200 of your peers at the annual CRCSI conference (note: 2010 conference is in Melbourne, 23-24 November 2010).
  • Unparalleled access to R&D development opportunities
    • Participate in projects of economic and social value to your organisation, your customers and your industry.
    • Access intellectual property for commercial and business use.
    • Access an extensive network of experts in New Zealand, Australia and overseas.
  • Increase talent pool and improve workforce skills
    • Boost continuing development of your staff through scholarships and short courses.
    • Be more aware of new and emerging technologies (sector-wide) and how they can help your business.

Glenn Cockerton, Managing Director, Spatial Vision, Melbourne says "Spatial Vision initially viewed its participation in the CRCSI and 43pl with some circumspection. However, since joining, we have been involved in a number of research projects that have delivered significant benefits to the company. These benefits include enhancing our expertise in a number of key technologies, the opportunity to work more closely with some our existing and potential clients, and generally raising awareness of our company by being associated with the CRCSI activities more generally.

Other benefits include being part of the network of government agencies, academic institutions and companies that form the CRCSI, participation in the CRCSI's annual conference, and the ability to participate in projects extended to 43pl companies only.

All in all, Spatial Vision's involvement with the CRCSI has been most beneficial to the company and our staff, and we would commend the CRCSI to any member of the spatial industry prepared to get involved."

Contact me if you want to have a chat about joining the other 60+ members of 43pl - remember, the CRCSI Annual Conference is an event not to be missed, so let's talk soon.
