Spatially Enabled Government Summit 2009

24-27 August 2009 - Canberra, Australia

The Spatially Enabled Government Summit 2009 (SEGS '09) is specifically designed for the end-user and covers the most technical issues in spatially enabling government. While targeted towards the Australian government, SEGS can be of benefit to all with an interest in this area.

SEGS offers insight into:

  • How to develop and share Australia's digital geographic resources
  • Executing proven industry strategies for data collecting, usage and distribution
  • Maximising your data management; innovative technical applications.

This year, SEGS will focus on three core issues:

  1. Collecting data for new projects and getting the maximum use and benefit from the data you collect
  2. Maximising the value of spatial information with effective data management and data currency strategies: Selecting the right tool for the right project at the right time
  3. Developing a whole of government approach to interoperability: Strategies to implement on any scale of operation.
