Kim Hill recently interviewed David Park, Chief Executive Officer of the Geospatial Research Centre (GRC).
The interview covers GRC's upcoming launch of an in-house designed flight replay system for trainee pilots and GRC's work in such fields as sensor integration, image analysis, data visualisation and electronics.
Park and Hill also discuss GRC's employment of University of Canterbury PhD students.
GRC was founded in 2006 with the active support of the University of Canterbury, the University of Nottingham (UK) and Canterbury Development Corporation. GRC is based at the New Zealand ICT Innovation Institute (NZi3) at Canterbury University. Since its establishment, the GRC team has grown from five to twenty-five people.
