Geospatial Standards Project Advisory Group

An advisory group was established to provide the project team with independent advice and expertise on developing options, costs and benefits of various proposals, and implementation. The advisory group acted as a sounding board to ensure that recommendations meet the needs and circumstances of New Zealand.

The advisory group was not responsible for any conclusions or decisions on the project, nor was it expected to produce a report or any other documentation or make any formal recommendations. For full details of what the advisory groups were tasked with, see their terms of reference (pdf 41.5KB).

The advisory group was made up of people from across the public and private sectors. Members of the advisory group were appointed in their individual capacity for their individual expertise rather than as representatives of a particular group, government agency or organisation.
