Director CRCSI New Zealand Appointed

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Sue Severn to the New Zealand Geospatial Office (NZGO) as Director CRCSI New Zealand. This key role will be responsible for establishing and growing a New Zealand node for the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information (CRCSI) programme based in Australia.

The New Zealand node will be a valuable resource for the local geospatial community. In her role, Mary Sue will help open up funding sources and resource support, and will leverage the membership in CRCSI established by the NZGO last year.

With Mary Sue appointed to this leadership role, the NZGO further solidifies its commitment to the Australian geospatial community, in addition to our work here in New Zealand.

Mary Sue joins us with an extensive and diverse background in business consulting and project management. She most recently worked as a Business Development Manager for Midas Infomedia in Wellington, managing customer relationships to develop new business opportunities. Prior to Midas, Mary Sue managed accounts and business development activities at Critchlow Limited and The Simpl Group.

Mary Sue studied Radio and Television Broadcasting at Conestoga College in her native Canada. An avid thespian, she enjoys performing on the stage in musicals and comedies. Mary Sue is excited to be joining the NZGO, growing her geospatial network and developing business opportunities throughout New Zealand. Please join me in welcoming Mary Sue to this exciting new role.
